Ongoing conditions

Blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes reviews and medication checks.

Tests & results

Prescriptions & sick notes

Private prescriptions and fit/sick notes in the same visit.

Referrals

Onward to a MEDii specialist or a fast-track private route when needed.

Reassurance & advice

A proper conversation about what's going on and what to do next.

One unhurried appointment — time to be heard, examined, and given a clear plan.

MEDii reception — friendly, calm and unhurried
How it works alongside the NHS

A private GP works with your NHS care, not instead of it

Booking privately doesn't mean leaving the NHS behind. Many people use MEDii to be seen quickly, then keep their NHS GP for ongoing records.

  • We see you fast, and treat on the spot.

Same-day assessment, on-site tests and treatment — no two-to-three-week wait, no separate trip for diagnostics.

  • Clear notes you can share with your NHS GP.

You leave with a written summary and results in plain language. NHS GPs generally accept private test results and letters at their discretion, so your record stays joined up.

  • Continuity, your way.

Stay with MEDii for follow-up, or take your notes back to your NHS GP — your choice, your records.

Faster access now; a record that travels with you.

Two levels of doctor, one easy choice

What is an Internal Medicine doctor — and how is it different from a GP?

A GP (general practitioner) is your everyday generalist — ideal for most new symptoms, common illnesses and routine reviews. An Internal Medicine doctor (physician / 内科医生) is a hospital-grade specialist in the diagnosis and management of complex or multi-system problems in adults — the right choice when something is harder to pin down, involves several conditions at once, or needs deeper work-up.

First port of call

GP

Common and ongoing concerns; quick assessment, tests, prescriptions and referrals — the right start for most things.

Hospital-grade physician

Internal Medicine

Unexplained or complex symptoms, multiple conditions, or when you want a consultant physician's deeper assessment.

From £300 / initial consultation

Not sure which you need? Book a GP first — they'll guide you to an Internal Medicine consultant if that's the better route.
