Using insurance? See how cover works at MEDiiCardiology — your questions answered
Do I need a GP referral to see a cardiologist?
No. You can book directly with a MEDii consultant cardiologist — no referral letter needed. If you're insured, check whether your insurer requires a GP referral for claims; our team can help.
How quickly can I be seen?
Often within 24 hours of booking, and almost always within a few days — including echocardiogram, which we arrange same day or within 48 hours.
Will I get my results the same day?
ECG results are reviewed in your appointment. Most blood results arrive within 24–48 hours, and your consultant explains everything — nothing is left as a number on a page.
What if my tests find something serious?
Your consultant will tell you plainly and arrange the right next step — urgent medication, fast-track CT/MRI at a partner hospital, or direct admission via A&E if needed. You won't be left to navigate it alone.
Can you look after a heart condition diagnosed abroad?
Yes — this is one of our strengths. Bring (or send) your records, including 中文 reports; we build a London-based care plan and coordinate with your doctors at home.
Is everything in one place?
Consultation, ECG, echocardiogram and blood tests all happen at 18 Duke's Road — one visit, one team. Advanced imaging (CT/MRI) is fast-tracked at partner hospitals nearby.
