How it works

Your results, clearly and securely

Here's when each type of report is ready — and exactly how to open it on your patient portal.

Every result is checked by our clinical team before it reaches you.

Timeframes by test type

How long your report takes

Turnaround depends on how the test is processed. Every result is checked by our clinical team before it's released to you — so a result you can see at the centre is followed by a full, verified report.

Timeframes below are typical, not guaranteed — they depend on the test and the laboratory's turnaround.

  1. As early as

    30 min

    Rapid results · on-site
    What
Tests run on our point-of-care equipment — including certain blood tests, ultrasound and ECG.
    Timing
A preliminary result can be given as early as 30 minutes, during your visit.
    The full report
A complete, verified report follows once it has been checked by our clinical team.

You leave knowing the headline; the formal report lands shortly after.

  2. Usually within

    3–5 days

Laboratory tests · blood & swabs
    What
Blood tests and swabs sent to our professional laboratory — the same grade of laboratory used by leading private hospitals and NHS units.
    Timing
Results are usually issued in 3–5 working days. Most common tests arrive within 3–5 working days; certain specialist tests can take up to two weeks.
    Why it varies
Turnaround depends on how quickly the lab can process that sample and how common the test is.
    Our step
As soon as the lab issues the result, MEDii checks it and then releases your report.
  3. Typically within

    3 days

Imaging & diagnostics · partner sites
    What
Imaging and diagnostic tests carried out at trusted third-party sites — such as CT and MRI.
    Timing
Through MEDii's fast-track network, the report is typically issued within 3 working days.

We chase the partner site so you don't have to.

When a result needs a little longer

Occasionally part of a test needs to be repeated or sent for further specialist analysis — for example, to confirm a finding or run an additional check. If that applies to you, we'll let you know and give you a revised timeframe so you're never left wondering.

Accessing your portal

Where to find your report

For every MEDii report, a secure report link is sent to your registered email. Follow the steps below to open it.

Two things to check first

Check your spam or junk folder

The email can sometimes land in your spam or junk folder, especially the first time. Please double-check there if you don't see it in your inbox.

Activate your account

You must have an activated account to open a report. An unactivated account cannot retrieve a report even with the correct link. When you first registered, an activation link was emailed to you — please make sure you've used it.

Open your report in four steps

  1. 1

    Open the report link

Open the report link in the email we sent to your registered address.

  2. 2

The link takes you to the website login page. Sign in with your email and password.

  3. 3

    View it on your portal

Your report appears under the relevant appointment.

  4. 4

    Can't see it straight away?

Find the record of that appointment and click into it — the report is attached to that appointment.

Forgotten your portal password? Click “Reset Password” on the login page. And remember — your account must be activated first; an activation link is sent to your email when you first register.

Still can't find it?
