- No GP referral needed
- Appointments in as little as 24 hours

Some skin signs can't wait for a clinic.
If you have a rash that is spreading rapidly with fever or you feel very unwell, a rash that doesn't fade when pressed with a glass, sudden swelling of the lips, tongue or throat, or difficulty breathing after a sting, food or medicine — call 999 or go to your nearest A&E now. Our clinic is for urgent and planned skin care, not life-threatening emergencies.

GP or dermatologist — which do you need?
Both have their place. Here's a simple guide — and with MEDii you can come straight to a specialist, no referral needed.
A GP is a fine place to start if…
- You have a one-off rash or a mild, short-lived skin problem
- You need a first opinion or a routine repeat prescription
- You're not sure where to begin and want general advice
Come straight to a dermatologist if…
- A mole is changing, or a lump is new or growing
- Acne, rosacea or eczema keeps coming back despite treatment
- You want a clear diagnosis, dermoscopy or minor surgery
- You'd rather not wait weeks for a referral
Not sure? Book a consultation and we'll tell you honestly if a GP is the better first step.

What it is, whether it needs treating, and your options — explained in plain language (English or 中文), including when "leave it alone" is the honest answer.

Using insurance? See how cover works at MEDiiDermatology — your questions answered
Do I need a GP referral to see a dermatologist?
No. You can book directly with a MEDii consultant dermatologist. If you're insured, check whether your insurer requires a GP referral for claims — our team can help.
How quickly can I be seen?
Often within 24 hours of booking, and almost always within a few days.
Can a mole or cyst be removed on the same day?
Where it's clinically appropriate and the schedule allows, yes — your consultant assesses first, then we book or perform minor surgery on-site. Anything removed is sent for laboratory analysis.
What if you find something that looks serious?
Your consultant will tell you plainly and arrange the right next step at once — urgent removal, biopsy, or fast-track referral to a partner hospital. You won't be left to navigate it alone.
My child's rash keeps coming back — is it worth seeing a specialist?
Yes, that's exactly what our Paediatric Skin & Infection Clinic is for: a consultant tells you what it is, what will clear by itself, and what genuinely needs treatment — so you stop guessing.
Is this the same as MEDii SKIN?
No. Dermatology is medical care for skin conditions; MEDii SKIN is our aesthetics and skin-wellness service. They work together — medical plan first, aesthetics after — and we'll route you to the right one.
